Stevens Jury Excused for Day

Judge Emmet Sullivan excused the jury in the trial of Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) on Friday after a juror departed to attend the funeral of her father in California. He has not yet decided whether to seat an alternate and does not yet know whether deliberations will continue Monday.
